I was trying to think of ideas and most work better for later, when he knows the town and the people better. But this idea works great for an early scene, since half of it is determinate on some naiveté.
Concept: Outside of Dornie during a routine trip, Cas encounters a Black Dog. As he's not so aware of them as others, once he learns they are an omen of death, he starts to believe he is going to die and bad things (read: sheer dumb luck things) just keep happening to him. Like a placebo, bad things happen because he believes it will.
Story Type: A light storyline that can be mixed in with others. A dash of Comedy with Character Development and the Supernatural. Ooooeeeeoooooeeeeee.
Story Length: Moderate, vague structure. A handful of scenes. Clear beginning, vague middle and open ending depending on the suggestions of those he tells about it. Could end the first scene! Though I think it would be fun if it lasted a few more with different people in most of them. I have a couple ideas on how it could end. Besides death.
Needs/Wants: Someone(s) to take advantage of naiveté and help keep him convinced he's going to die for a few scenes. Or at least people who are willing to humor me while I have stupid amounts of fun making my character think he's going to die. Then not kill him.
Cas — please feel free to use this thread to organize scenes if they need organizing, or whatever will help you to realize the plot. If you need or desire help, this is the place to ask that, too.
